Goats help to provide food security.

Providing families with goats helps provide food security and a pathway out of poverty. They rear and sell the goats to buy food stuffs, school supplies for children, and meet other basic needs. Mr. Thuraniira is very grateful for the goat project.

A goat gives a family nourishing milk to drink. It’s also a vital source of income, since extra milk can be sold at local markets. And because they’re always in demand, goats are like stocks or bonds, easily traded for vital goods and other animals.
